Art, memory, and reality dissolve to give shape to absence in the debut fiction film by the award-winning documentary filmmaker Francesca Scalisi.
As her radical artist brother vanishes in Paris, a director descends into the underground to find him, as a new life growing inside her refuses that silence: art, memory, and reality dissolve, blurring archive footage with fiction to give absence a form.
“Me, You, and Gods ” is the first fiction film by award-winning documentary filmmaker Francesca Scalisi, written with Vittorio Moroni and Chiara Cremaschi. The project, presented at the EAVE Producers Workshop 2023/24, received a MEDIA Co-Development grant and development support from the IDM-South Tyrol Film Commission. The film is a co-production with the Swiss company DOK Mobile, co-developed with Tomsa Film (FR) and Art Film (AL).
